Our client is a leading charitable organisation who support the food and consumer goods industry by providing commercial insight and support to their members, enabling them to face their challenges, find solutions and adapt in an ever-changing marketplace. They have an enviable membership list of some of the UK's leading consumer brands and retailers and are looking for a Head of Health and Sustainable Consumption.
About the Role
In this role you will be the lead and driving force behind their health and sustainable consumption strategy. With the opportunity to develop new and existing programmes such as nutritional labelling and healthy eating in the workplace. You will network with industry, academics and government offices to drive and influence the organisations health and sustainability programmes with the support of colleagues who are equally passionate and ambitious to make a difference within the food and consumer good industry.
Develop strategy and deliver health and sustainable consumption programmes.
Follow market trends and customer feedback to spot opportunity and improvements.
Evaluate and proof written content.
Lead a multi-disciplinary team to meet business plan and KPIs.
Oversee and produce the annual budget and business process plan for Health and Sustainable Consumption department.
Engage with relevant industry working groups, officials and external stakeholders, representing the organisation at industry meetings and events.
Work closely with marketing teams to raise awareness and drive engagement with Health and Sustainability programmes.
Produce and champion recommendations based on the organisations research and work programmes.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise across health and sustainable consumption.
Technical expertise in Health, R&D or Sustainable Consumption with experience in behaviour change research or intervention projects.
A career track from within the UK Food and consumer good sector.
Attained an MSc from a relevant subject (health, food technology, sustainability or behaviour change).
Awareness and interest in the bigger sustainability picture i.e. social impact and political issues.
Have confidence and the ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.
Work collaboratively across a broad range of health and sustainability topics.
