IT Security and Governance Officer – 2 Month Contract – London – Inside IR35 – £167 per day

Our client is looking for an IT Security and Governance Officer/ IT Engineer for a short-term contract to assist with the wider delivery of services by ensuring that support functions including policy, IT security Information Security, Service Agreements, performance management and quality processes are suitable and sufficient.

Responsibilities:

Change Management – Assesses, analyses, develop documents and implements changes based on request for change.
Risk Management – Carries out detailed risk assessment within a defined functional or technical area of business, to ensue those policies, processes and procedures comply with current statutory requirements. Perform risk assessment, business impact analysis and accreditation for all major information systems with the organisation.
Compliance Management – Collects, collates, and examines records as part of specified testing strategies for evidence of compliance with management directives, or the identification of abnormal occurrences. Analyse evidence collated and drafts part of all formal reports commenting on the conformance found to exist on the reviewed information.
Vulnerability Management Obtain and act on vulnerability information and conducts security risk assessments for business applications and computer installations.
Security Management – investigate breaches of security and recommend appropriate control measures and system improvements. Interpret security policy and contributes to wider development of new standards and guidelines that comply with this.
Quality Management – Sets the quality strategy for approval and adoption by IT services delivery management. Measure the extent to which the quality policy meets the organisations needs and objectives and review it, as necessary.
Performance Management – Monitor's service delivery performance metrics and liaises with managers and customers to ensure that service level agreements are not breached without the stakeholders being given the opportunity of planning for a deterioration in service.
Policy Management – Draft and maintain the policy, standards, procedures, and documentation for security. Maintain indepth knowledge of specific technical specialisms and provide expert advice.
