Minor Works Estimator
Location: London, NW2.Salary: Negotiable from £40,000, depending on experience, vehicle provided, pension.Contract: Full time, permanent.
We are looking for a talented and professional individual to join our Maintenance Company as an Estimator / Contract Manager.
KBK Property Services provide a top-quality maintenance service to block management and private client’s from a wide variety of sectors in the London area. Trades include, plumbing, trace and access, carpentry, roofing, decorating, plastering, tiling, electrical and locks.
KBK also carry out refurbishment works covering all aspects of building work giving advice and technical support. We have qualified engineers and experienced tradesman (with relevant certification) to carry out works to both residential and commercial properties on behalf of private owners, tenants and landlords. Each contract is priced individually which allows us to take into account the unique elements of the job.
• Estimating minor works, maintenance works and small projects, plus tenders.• Plan and prioritise workload to achieve service delivery• Responsible for financial performance of contract/s and maximise margin• Professional in appearance clean and tidy at all times• Flexible in attitude and aptitude• Ensure all monthly reports and forms are completed and forwarded to appropriate departments and clients• Responsible for developing client relationships to ensure retention of contract and future opportunities• Overall responsibility for portfolio of contracts in relation to performance both financially and in line contract requirements• Manage a team of mobile workforce with an element of administration and subcontractor management• Ensure clear communication with workforce, customers, line management, office support staff, subcontractors and third party suppliers• Provide technical and admin support to the client and support staff• Responsible for the undertaking of site visits on a predetermined amount of all works delivered and record• Responsibility to supply additional/remedial works as required in an efficient, profitable and safe manner• Continually demonstrate an understanding and commitment to customer care• Maintain and improve effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, customers and work as part of a team• Deal courteously with clients, customers and the general public to maintain and enhance the reputation of KBK• To be part of a management out of hours rota liaising with clients, workforce and subcontractors Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Substantial practical experience• Good communicator, verbally and written, and have a good level of computer literacy• IOSH or SSSTS preferred• Knowledge of working at height/IPAF/PASMA/Asbestos• Knowledge of statutory requirements and current legislation• Have an in-depth knowledge and experience in building services, statuary regulations and compliance.
• Reactive Maintenance 10 years (Required)• Construction: at least 10 years (Required)• Contract management: 5 years (Preferred)• Possible career growth for the right candidate• Minor Works estimating experience (Rquired)
