Project Manager (Software Product Development)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading medical group and technology services in the UK plus Europe and USA. Working as part of the Technology & Products function. The candidate will own and work on our flagship patient consultation platform and other products with a dedicated product team to support the groups ambition to scale the product to a wider audience.
We are looking for a Project Manager to help us deliver a seamless patient and workforce experience both digitally & operationally using Digital First approach across UK and in the process of branching out to across UK and in international market.
This is an exciting opportunity for senior technologists to gain exposure to a rapidly growing and scaling health tech company, operating as a business leader and a hands-on technologist. You will be providing technical and operational guidance to the wider IT team and creating roadmaps for the business to scale over the coming years.
Project Manager Responsibilities:
Create project plans, ensuring they facilitate delivery and progress reporting.
Build strong working relationships with internal business and external 3rd party counterparts and ensure buy-in.
Capture and manage changes to the project scope and update plans accordingly.
Ensure delivery execution is aligned with project plans so that no resource issues are created.
Manage the execution of 3rd parties involved in the delivery of the project.
Manage project risks and issues to protect delivery.
Provide weekly status updates to senior management and stakeholders on progress so that they're clear on status and can steer actions to mitigate and resolve issues/risks.
Create a working group structure covering key stakeholders that is constantly engaged in delivery to achieve the objectives.
Organise the storage of project documentation, including versioning and approval.
Drafting proposals, options papers, exception reports and impact assessments.
Project Manager Requirements:
End-to-end project delivery experience.
Previous experience of working within the software development industry.
Collaborative approach to leadership, engaging with business stakeholders at C-level & 3rd parties, delivering 'fit for purpose' solutions, operating models and business change.
Familiarity with the health care digital systems.
Rich understanding of clinical systems and their processes.
Engaging with and managing stakeholders across Community Services, GP practices, PCNs, GP Federations and Clinical Leads, hospitals.
Leading senior meetings and workshops, including Reference Groups and Design Authority meetings.
Able to translate business requirements into tangible, realistic deliverable solutions.
Familiarity with all EPR migration workstreams.
Understanding of infrastructure elements of an EPR implementation.
Experience of managing third party suppliers and ensuring they are a part of the project journey and deliverables.
PRINCE2 Practitioner, with experience of applying best practice frameworks, tools and methods.
Awareness of Agile project delivery principles and risk management techniques.
Experience of managing multiple small project concurrently.
Advanced MS Office skills, in particular Project, Excel and Visio.
Has worked with digital products using online access.
Has been part of clinical system development.
Understanding of digital first products.
Has worked in other EPR migration workstreams.
Experience of developing communications material.
Understanding of clinical risk management.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (50K to 55K)
Hours: Full time, Permanent
