cer Financial is working alongside an Asian bank who are looking for a Relationship Manager to join their Corporate Banking team on a permanent basis.

The purpose of the Associate Manager role is to work as a transactor of deals and to perform a wider supporting role within the corporate banking team, take a leading role in the structuring and execution of non-complex transactions and work as a team member for more complex deals.

Responsibilities of A Relationship Manager include:

· Assisting Corporate Banking Relationship Manager with all aspect of client relationships
· Actively contributing to the successful management of the Banks primary deal flow
· Actively contributing to the covenant & post loan monitoring of the Banks connections being a “true” first line of defense in risk management and mitigation
· Assisting in the management and develop a portfolio of corporate relationships
· Challenging and independently researching new connections
· Analysing accurately, e.g., trends, financial data, market information and company status to make informed decisions regarding complex credit issue
· Adhering to regulations, legal obligations and data protection rules
· Understanding other (lending) products and services offered by the ban
· Developing the skills required for account planning, opportunity generation, client pitching and cross-selling, and gain initial experience in client ownership
· Developing a wide internal and external network
· Establishing, developing, and maintaining good relations with clients in line with credit policy and business objective
· Proactive marketing of the Bank’s trade finance and relevant corporate banking products to targeted customers
· Producing credit proposals based on thorough evaluation and understanding of the underlying transactions
· Maintaining portfolio credit quality by ensuring regular (and/or spot checks on) credit reviews, monitoring risk concentrations, early identification of problem situations and advising solutions
· Ensuring that the anti-money laundering and other policies and code of professional conduct, are strictly complied with including initial due diligence analysis

The Successful Relationship Manager will have:

· A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years working experience in financial sector, ideally in a commercial/corporate banking environment
· Experience of credit analysis and preparation of credit memorandums
· Experience of working through a deal cycle from open to close
· Experience of KYC and Due Diligence
· Worked as part of a relationship team previously
· Exceptional communication and time management skills
· Mandarin speaking is an advantage
· Competency in building rapport, trust, and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
· Willingness to embrace new cultures, break down barriers and challenge complacency
