The Role – SEMH Tutor
We are seeking a committed and creative SEMH Tutor to work within a specialist SEMH school in Greenwich, supporting secondary students aged 11–25. The students are working towards GCSEs at lower levels, as well as alternative qualifications such as Functional Skills and Entry Level Certificates.
The successful candidate will deliver core subjects (English, Maths, Science) to small groups or on a 1:1 basis. You will also be responsible for planning, adapting, and assessing lessons based on individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes. The role will be in-person, and may involve both on-site and off-site provision depending on student needs.
This role would suit a teacher, tutor, or HLTA with strong subject knowledge, behaviour management skills, and a trauma-informed, student-centred approach. QTS is preferred but not essential if you can demonstrate transferable skills and a solid understanding of supporting students with SEMH needs.
