Transformation Project Manager

Our local government client is recruiting a Transformation Project Manager. To lead the overall programme management of several ambitious transformation programmes and projects; To lead on stakeholder engagement working with officers at all levels of the organisation to support programme delivery. To provide programme assurance and ensure we deliver our transformation benefits in line with our critical path for transformation: Home-based until September, some hybrid working may be required.

Key Responsibilities

* To work collaboratively with services across the organisation, including internal services such as Adult Social Care, Housing, Commissioning, Digital, Property, Children’s Services and external partners including local NHS organisations and the voluntary and community sector;

Qualification – Essential

* GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics

* Education to degree level relevant to the post

* Recognised methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, Lean or Kaizen

* Advanced Knowledge of –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media

Essential – Skills,

* Have substantial experience in delivering change and transformation in a public sector environment

* Proven knowledge and understanding of Local Authority services

* Able to demonstrate high-level programme project management skills and knowledge of the recognised methodologies such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile, Lean or Kaizen

* Strong analytical and commercial skills

* Experience in leading or managing major change projects

* Understanding of programme benefits management

* Have strong leadership skills, modelling a performance culture and constructively building achievement

* Proven experience in managing projects teams and leading through matrix management

* Ability to question and challenge conventional thinking with an eye on the bigger picture

* Proven experience of working successfully with critical stakeholders, including Members, residents, businesses, communities, partner organisations and other public services

* Ability to demonstrate successful leadership and build a strong, capable and highly motivated team

* Ability to apply commercial judgement to make decisions that will deliver cost-efficient and effective results

* An ability to understand and respond to the evolving economic and social environment

* Demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence, customer care and continuous improvement

* Ability to identify and understand the needs of both internal and external customers by providing excellent customer service in all areas

Job Title: Transformation Project Manager

Salary: £400.42 per day PAYE – Inside IR35

Location: Kingston

Hours: 36.00 hours per week – Home-based until September;

some hybrid working may be required.

Duration: 7 months – TBC after that
